AGT presents the Contributor Bulletin for the year 2023.

The General Tax Administration (AGTA) presents the number of taxpayers registered in Value Added Tax (VAT) in the year 2023, in which the registration system shows a record of 14,689 taxpayers registered in the General VAT taxation regime.

Taxpayers under this regime are the only ones who must charge VAT on the invoice they issue to their customers, and they deduct the entire tax they bear on their purchases of goods and services.

Regarding the Simplified Regime, there were 11,434 registered taxpayers and in the Exclusion Regime there were 82,070 taxpayers.
 
In terms of imports in 2023, the amount collected was Kz 637,657,779,953 (six hundred and thirty-seven billion, six hundred and fifty-seven million, seven hundred and seventy-nine thousand, nine hundred and fifty-three kwanzas), and recorded a growth of around 22% compared to the same period of the previous year Kz 524,576,274,956).

In general, there was a total VAT collection in the amount of Kz 1,449,362,686,954 (One billion, four hundred and forty-nine billion, three hundred and sixty-two million, six hundred and eighty-six thousand, nine hundred and fifty and four kwanzas), which represents an increase of 15% compared to the same period of the previous year.

While reimbursements were made during this period, a total of 507 requests were registered, corresponding to the amount in Kwanza 172,224,173,461.00 (One hundred and seventy-two billion, two hundred and twenty-four million, one hundred and seventy-three thousand, four hundred and sixty and one Kwanzas). 239 requests were approved, totaling a total value of Kz 89,898,398,149.45 (Eighty-nine billion, eight hundred and ninety-eight million, three hundred and ninety-eight thousand, one hundred and forty-nine Kwanzas and forty-five cents) .

According to the AGT, the general register currently holds 11 million 148 thousand 910 taxpayers, including individuals and collectives, and this institution has the power to officially register all taxpayers who are omitted.
