Government of Huila allocates 34.7 million kwanzas in reimbursement for transport and merchandise operators.

Transport and Goods Operators (OTM) reimbursed 34 million and 700 thousand kwanzas of credit for vans that they received in phases from June 2022 to April 2023, to reinforce the acquisition and trade of production.

The vans have the capacity to carry more than six tons of products per trip and are worth 9.6 million kwanzas, including a 74 percent Government subsidy.

The director of the provincial office for Integrated Economic Development of Huíla, Domingos Kalumana, said that 177 reimbursement installments have already been made, from 30 debtors, and that operators transport more than two thousand tons of national production in three months.

Two thousand 664, 68 tons of various products were transported by the 31 Transport and Goods Operators in Huíla, from August to October 2023.

Kietoeconomia learned that of the 31 trucks included in the Integrated Rural Trade Development Program (PIDCR), they are all in operation and that they have not yet received any case of a vehicle stopped due to lack of spare parts or accessories.

This involves the transport of corn, massango, massambala, fish, meat, various vegetables, tubers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and reindeer, cassava, beans, ginguba, corn flour, onion, tomato, watermelon, lemon, orange, tangerine , apple, goats and sugar cane.
