Local suppliers will benefit from government funding.
The Angolan government made available, this Tuesday, the 16th, a short-term line of credit to local suppliers for the purchase of inputs.
In a note, the Ministry of Finance states that local suppliers can now benefit from financing, through the granting of short-term credit, for the purchase of inputs.
The measure was taken under paragraph b) of article 3 of Notice no. 10/22, of April 6, from the National Bank of Angola (BNA). An initiative included in the Campaign Agricultural Credit program (CAC 2023-2024).
The initiative aims to promote access to credit for small and medium-sized agricultural producers and stimulate commercial agriculture based on national products, with the aim of strengthening the agricultural sector.
Meanwhile, producers eligible to benefit from the credit must go to one of the operating banks: Banco Angolano de Investimento (BAI); International Business Bank (BNI); Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA); Banco Millennium Atlântico (BMA); Savings and Credit Bank (BPC); BIC Bank; Banco SOL, or Banco Comercial Huambo (BCH), and must comply with the membership conditions defined in the Indicative Technical Sheets.
