Fake ANIESA Inspectors Seize Seven Gaming Machines to Sell at 40,000 Kz Each.
A common practice of citizens who bring false documents and a vehicle when carrying out false inspections.
Two Angolan citizens, who pretended to be inspectors from the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety (ANIESA), illegally seized seven gaming machines to sell at a price of 40,000 kwanzas each, according to a note sent to our editorial team.
The information was released this morning, the 21st of this month, by the Criminal Investigation Service in Luanda (SIC) operating in the municipality of Mulenvos-Viana. The SIC reports that the suspects, accompanied by their accomplices who were on the run, pretended to be ANIESA inspectors, carrying out inspection visits, using several false documents for this purpose, as well as a means of transport for their illegal activities, a Suzuki-Spresso vehicle.
“During one of the visits, they illegally seized seven gambling machines and tried to sell them for 40 thousand kwanzas each at the Mangueirinhas market, located in the CAOP-B neighborhood,” it reads.
Euclides dos Santos, one of those implicated, says he is an inspector in the municipality of Talatona, and claims that this is not the first time he has carried out this action. “We have already seized a total of 15 machines,” he stressed.
In this regard, those involved will be held accountable for the crimes of Criminal Association, Document Forgery, Illegal Exercise of Functions and False Qualifications, an event that occurred on January 13, 2025.
