Worldwide computer failure disrupts bank and media operations.

A global IT failure in the Microsoft system is affecting numerous companies, including airlines, financial companies, and medium-sized companies in various parts of the world. The problem causing the failure has already been "identified" and "being corrected", according to the president of CrowdStrike, an American cybersecurity group.

In the United States, major airlines canceled all flights, as well as in the United Kingdom, where the largest British railway company announced possible travel cancellations. In India, major disturbances were announced. Other countries and sectors have also been affected, including emergency services.

According to Downdetector, which monitors outages, since last night sudden spikes in incidents have been recorded on several sites that include Microsoft applications.

The problems that began to be detected in the United States, where all flights from several airlines were suspended, followed Australian television ABC TV and several companies announcing a giant technical failure, severely disrupting their work. Announcements that quickly replicated, with other countries reporting similar problems.

Flights to and from the Parisian airports of Charles de Gaulle and Orly, the main entry points into France for the Olympic Games, are operating normally, according to the ADP group, manager of Parisian airports.
