The director of the consultancy firm Soapro and Serveng, Hugo Fontes, considered, during the Sika Summit Angola 2024 conference, held this Friday, the 18th, that 'there's no point in having a Ferrari if the road isn't good.'

According to this manager, who heads the Angolan group founded in 1989 with extensive experience in the fields of architecture, engineering, urban planning and the environment, the objective is to have a fully functional value chain, which brings together all the elements necessary for the proper functioning of the construction industry.

"Our vision is that there's no point in having a Ferrari if the road isn't good." However, "it should not be just the engine that is working, but the entire structure", he said. 

He added that the proper functioning of the Construction Industry requires controlling bridges, managing accommodation, canteens, digitizing processes and many other components that allow the entire chain to function properly. 

According to the manager, part of the achievements that can be achieved have to do with transparent work and with fewer human errors and less human effort. 

He also added that the use of technology in the construction industry can make operations more efficient, not only at the production level, namely civil construction, architecture and engineering, but also in the support areas of the Industry.
