The meeting was opened by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, who, on the occasion, made several considerations about the training, appealing to media professionals to be clearer and more skillful in dealing with specialized topics.

The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas and the Association of Economic Journalists of Angola (AJECO) are promoting, this Wednesday, the 25th, a meeting with journalists from various media outlets, with a view to improving concepts about the hydrocarbon sector in Angola.

The seminar aimed at economic journalists is being held under the motto: "Decoding the language of the oil and gas sector to better communicate".

The meeting is chaired by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino Azevedo, and will also be attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil and Gas Agency (ANPG), Paulino Jerónimo, the General Director of ExxonMobil, Katrine Fisher, representatives of Sonangol, among other guests.

In his speech, Minister Diamantino Azevedo highlighted the importance of journalists being equipped with knowledge and definitions about the Hydrocarbons sector in order to better perform their duties.

The Minister also outlined some of the activities of the sector, highlighting the projects underway to mitigate the decline in oil production.
