Chairman of Catoca's management board distinguished as 'African Industry Personality of the Year'.

Benedito Manuel was honored with honors in London for his performance in the operation and development of the African mining industry.

The President of the Board of Directors and General Director of Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, Benedito Paulo Manuel, received this Wednesday, 17th, in London-England, the African Industry Personality of the Year Award, according to a note from Kieto Economia had access.

In a ceremony organized by the African Business Leadership Award (ABLA), one of the most important platforms for awarding excellence in the business sector on the African continent, Benedito Manuel was acclaimed for the excellent work he has led towards the development of the mining industry in Africa .

In gratitude, the person in charge addressed words to his family and the entire collective of workers at Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, for their hard work and contribution to the development of Angola, in particular, the continent and the world in general. “My message is that we continue to believe in and promote the development of African professionals, because we have people in Africa with great potential and, by giving them assertive opportunities and training, they will be able to elevate the continent to a global level”, he emphasized.

“We are capable of developing our industry, in particular, and the economy of our nations in general” said the person in charge, highlighting special thanks for the support he has received from regulatory bodies, namely Endiama and the Angolan Government .

According to the note, Sociedade Mineira de Catoca has adopted the best international practices, as well as creating an ambitious social responsibility program, which has impacted the lives of thousands of families, direct and indirect workers, and above all, the improvement of life of Angolan society.

The event was attended by members of governments from several African countries and the British parliament, who met in one of the hotels in central London to honor the moment.
