Pedro Castro e Silva leaves his position as deputy governor of the BNA and becomes an alternate director of the IMF.

An experienced banking professional made his way in the financial industry, where he served as deputy governor of the central bank. Castro e Silva will now be moving to the largest global financial institution.

This week, manager Pedro Castro e Silva left his position as deputy governor of the National Bank of Angola, following a nomination by Angola to occupy the position of alternate director of the board of directors of the International Monetary Fund from 2024 to 26 and executive director for the following two years, as nominated by Angola, according to the ECONOMIA 100 MAKAS page, by Carlos Rosado de Carvalho.

According to his CV in our possession, Pedro Castro e Silva holds a degree in Financial Management from Indiana University, USA, and an MBA from the Paris School of Commerce, France. He worked at BAI, where he was a planning and control technician, marketing and communications director and administrator, at BNA (director of economic studies) and Sonangol (concessions economics technician).
