ENSA generates 100 billion kwanzas in revenue in eight months.
The board of directors of the largest national insurance company in terms of market share has noted that there is no record of a higher business volume in similar periods, a milestone that was celebrated this week at an event exclusively for employees.
The National Insurance Company of Angola (ENSA) closed, from January to August, a total of 100 billion kwanzas in gross premiums issued, exceeding all business volumes in similar periods, the entity announced in a statement sent to the Kieto Economia editorial team.
According to its management, there is no record of a higher business volume in similar periods, a milestone that was celebrated this week at an event exclusively for employees, during which the Chairman of the Executive Committee of ENSA, Mário Mota Lemos, congratulated the institution for the synergy of its employees in reaching this important number.
“The ENSA family is to be congratulated for once again having exceeded expectations and achieved an unparalleled turnover: 100 billion Kwanzas in premiums in the space of eight months, which proves the renewed dynamism of a team that we are very proud of”, the manager congratulated himself.
Mário Mota Lemos also pointed out that the insurer continues to innovate and lead the sector. “From now on, we will have a redoubled responsibility towards the market and our shareholder structure. Maintaining leadership is not enough. Our commitment is to constantly overcome challenges with ethics, efficiency and perseverance, always remembering that the Customer is our reason for existing”, defended the manager.
According to a schedule from the State Management and Participations Institute (IGAPE), the privatization of ENSA is scheduled for 2024 through the launch and transaction of 30% of its share capital on the Stock Exchange.
In addition to the record number of premiums issued, the event also celebrated important advances by ENSA in several strategic initiatives, including the first subscription of the new Agricultural Insurance and the consolidation of technological projects that are offering greater autonomy to its customers in the management of ENSA insurance.
ENSA was the first insurer after Angola's independence and since then has been a leader in the insurance market and one of the most solid and reputable companies in the country. Over time, it has been a pioneer in the launch of innovative insurance solutions that take into account the real needs of the market.
