The Minister of State for the Social Area, Maria do Rosário Bragança, considered, this Tuesday, 23rd, at the opening of the 39th edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda) 2024, that FILDA represents the commitment of the Government of Angola to economic development and social, ensuring the sustainable growth of the business sector and the diversification of the economy.

For Maria do Rosário Bragança, who spoke at the event on behalf of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, FILDA continues to be the main business exchange in the country.

"FILDA constitutes the main exchange in the country which appears as an instrument for attracting investors, financiers, businesspeople, from a perspective of exchange, identification of business growth and that every Angolan, as a facilitating agent of this interaction, seeks to ensure that reforms political and economic policies can positively influence the strengthening of partnerships in the real economy and the attraction of a greater volume of investments", said the Minister of State.

FILDA, which is the biggest business stage in Angola, kicked off this Tuesday, July 23rd, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), with the expectation of surpassing the number of companies that participated last year, when they were 1,307 exhibitors at the event, including nationals and foreigners.

This edition, which will run until Sunday, occupies an area of ​​14 thousand square meters, with more than 1,300 exhibitors. The event will have two business forums, namely from Angola and Portugal, which takes place this Wednesday, and the Angola/Macau forum, on Thursday.

According to statistics, last year, the 38th edition of the Luanda International Fair saw the participation of 1,307 exhibitors. Of these, 139 were foreigners. And it received 75 thousand visitors, according to the organizers. In terms of awards, the big winner was the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, which won the "Golden Lion".
