Port Company of Soyo-EP participates in the 15th APLOP Congress in Leixões.

The event aims to strengthen cooperation between maritime and logistics operators in the Portuguese-speaking world, as well as to share experience in connectivity and investment in infrastructure.

Since 30 October, the Port Company of Soyo-EP (EPS) has been part of a delegation of four national institutions from the Maritime and Logistics sub-sector that is participating in the 15th Congress of the Association of Portuguese-Speaking Ports (APLOP), in Leixões, Portugal, where experts in the area will discuss ‘Cooperation, Connectivity and Capacity Building’.

Led by the Chairman of its Board of Directors, Fernando Dias, the EPS-EP delegation also includes the Executive Director for Concessions, Logistics, Safety and Environment, Joaquim Fernandes, who, together with managers from other Portuguese-speaking countries, will be able to share and absorb experiences from the current reality of the sector.

The congress aims to strengthen cooperation between maritime and logistics operators in the Portuguese-speaking sector, as well as sharing experiences in connectivity and investment in infrastructure.

Angola is participating in the meeting with four companies controlled by the Ministry of Transport, namely the Port of Namibe, the Port of Luanda, the Port of Lobito and the Port of Soyo, in addition to Sogester, another national company in the logistics transport sector.

The meeting, which ends this Thursday, the 31st, will feature a series of panels, involving representatives from more than 10 countries, focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences between Portuguese-speaking ports.
