Correios de Angola denounces the existence of a criminal group that sends messages in the name of the company to steal values ​​and other fraudulent practices.

The National Post and Telegraph Company of Angola, E.P “Correios de Angola” recently spoke out against a group of still unidentified individuals who send messages in the name of the company to steal and steal other valuables from the public. The complaint comes in a note in which the company also warns the public about vigilance for cases of fraud and “scam”, such as sending random messages to update data and charges for service provision.

According to the note we had access to, acts like these have been frequent on various digital platforms, and this time the bad practice invades the proper functioning of Correios de Angola, which saw its name involved in fraud practices.

As a warning, the company is informing the general public that there are still unidentified elements who have sent messages in the name of the institution, to the general public or to random targets, calling for the updating of personal data and/or the induce payments on the provision of shipping or receiving services.

“They have been improperly making charges and payments using other people’s bank details” it reads. It also states that the aforementioned messages contain links which, once accessed, allow the collection of data, the misuse of which puts the integrity of users at risk.

Therefore, it is important to highlight that at this precise moment Correios de Angola does not use payment platforms, with the exception of the Automatic Payment Terminal (TPA) at our branches, and therefore calls for non-compliance with these criminal practices, and should ignore and report them to police authorities.
